Every October, the UAE joins the world in marking Breast Cancer Awareness Month, also known as Pink October. This nationwide initiative, led by the Friends of Cancer Patients (FOCP), aims to raise awareness about breast cancer and encourage early detection through accessible screenings and educational programs.
From October 1–31, 2025, the campaign is active across the country with eight fixed clinics and numerous mobile clinics, offering free clinical, mammogram, and ultrasound screenings at over 86 sites. Locations include Al Majaz Waterfront in Sharjah, City Walk in Dubai, and Lulu Mall in Fujairah, among others, ensuring services are available to residents in all emirates.
FOCP, together with the Pink Caravan, has created a full program of workshops, lectures, and interactive events designed for people of all ages and backgrounds. Their goal is to transform awareness into a proactive health culture, emphasizing the importance of early detection and prevention.
This year’s campaign also features exciting community events, like family-friendly activities in Aljada, Sharjah, the Battle Cancer Challenge at Dubai’s Seven Stadium, and the Ride with Rixos cycling event in Abu Dhabi. Many of these events include free screenings, fitness challenges, and fundraising opportunities through platforms like Yalla Give.
For businesses, the campaign offers corporate wellness programs, where companies can host mobile clinics on-site, provide mammogram vouchers, and organize awareness workshops for employees.
The Pink Shop complements the initiative by offering symbolic merchandise — pins, bracelets, candles, and more — with all proceeds supporting cancer patients and their families.
Pink October in the UAE is more than a campaign — it’s a nationwide movement that unites communities, volunteers, healthcare providers, and corporations in the shared mission of promoting health, hope, and prevention.
At BAGSY, we believe that awareness begins with small actions — reading, sharing, and simply caring. This month, we encourage everyone to take a moment to learn, talk, or even book a screening for yourself or someone you love.
💖 This October, let’s honor the spirit of Pink October: spread awareness, support early detection, and stand in solidarity with everyone affected by breast cancer.
